Washington State is marijuana friendly. We permit smoking of cannabis and tobacco products only outdoors, on the front porch, and side garden/patio area with the consent of the other guests. Stay here for your bachelor or bachelorette party and smoke in our 420-friendly garden!

On the National Registry of Historic Places, The 1899 House will turn 116 years old this year! The Edward Louis (and Dora) Powell House, was re-opened in 2012 as a Bed and Breakfast, in the historic Browne’s Addition of Spokane, WA. We are owner-occupied and committed to providing guests with an unforgettably comfortable, yet homelike, boutique B&B; experience for short-term visits. SUITES:
THE RIGBY SUITE: sleeps 3 people with the use of the foldout love seat. It also contains a queen bed, wet bar with wine cooler & closet. The bathroom contains a 7-foot rain shower with jet option and a heated towel rack. Comes with HDTV, Wi-Fi and Netflix! This suite is available for $139.00 per night or $850.00 per week.

THE DORA SUITE: comes with a queen bed in its own gently lighted sleeping alcove. It also features a Jacuzzi tub with a hand shower, and a reading library with wingback chairs. TV & DVD player are included with access to a large DVD library in the common area! The rate is $129.00 per night. SAVE 10% at $780.50 per week.

LOCATION:
We are located close to downtown and historic Cannon Circle and one block from two bus lines. We are minutes away from the Spokane International Airport and Arena, Hospitals, Gonzaga and Community Colleges, train and bus terminals, Spokane Club, River Park Square, River Front, Coeur d' Alene, and Huntington Parks; also close by are The Museum of Arts and Culture, four award winning golf courses, convention center, and fairgrounds. We are in a convenient location to five local ski resorts. Extensive variety in fine restaurants is available throughout the city, much of it within walking distance.

AMENITIES:
- All room rates include breakfast. Serving times are flexible.
- Local Washingtonian 'presentos' are placed in each room along with fresh flowers!
- Common spaces are open to all guests!
- All suites are equipped with dressers, desks and access to a large DVD library in the common/hospitality room.

THE INNKEEPERS:
When they are not actively working on the house or running the bed and breakfast, Louie and Gillian are involved with the Better Business Bureau, Visit Spokane and the Spokane Preservation Advocates, and many beneficent community activities.
